摘要
Future electron-positron factories require very high luminosity and hence a sufficiently large number of injected particles. The injector system must be capable of supplying the circulating current at a rate equal to or greater than the rate at which it is lost from the stored beams by beam-beam and beam-gas bremsstralhung processes. A laser driven rf gun appears to be the most convenient electron source able to supply very high intensity. Technological problems connected with the rf source are discussed in this paper.
