摘要
The success of the use of expert systems in analytical laboratories has been uneven. Two different types of expert systems are examined for use in the analytical laboratory: rule-based expert systems and decision analysis expert systems. The first type is often applicable when the domain knowledge results from empirical associations developed through years of problem solving in an area. The second type, in making use of indefinite, incomplete information, employs multiple-attribute multiple-goal decision analysis. Fuzzy-set theory and fuzzy logic are especially useful in this context. Some advise is given on the use of expert systems.
