PHYSICAL-PROPERTIES OF SOME TERNARY CE INTERMETALLICS WITH THE TRANSITION-METALS NI AND PD

摘要
The magnetic susceptibility, resistivity and low-temperature specific heat measurements are reported for the intermetallic compounds CePd2Al3, CeNi2Al3, CePdSb3, CeNiGa3 (two forms), Ce2Ni3Si5 and CeNi2Sb2. The largest carrier mass enhancement is found for CeNi2Sb2 with a specific heat coefficient gamma of approximately 400 mJ/mol Ce K2. In CeNi2Al3 and Ce2Ni3Si5 no local Ce moments are observed. Resistivity measurements reveal that no compound becomes superconducting above 50 mK.
