摘要
The process of adsorption and desorption of sulphur dioxide on a low-ash active carbon is studied, in the temperature range between 130-degrees-C and 170-degrees-C, using two different gaseous mixtures containing SO2. Oxygen, present at the adsorption stage, plays a very important role in the variation of the amount of SO2 adsorbed during some adsorption-desorption cycles; this effect is closely related to the variation of certain important characteristics of the carbon.
