摘要
The excitation functions for the **2**0**9Bi( alpha ,2n)**2**1**1At and **2**0**9Bi( alpha ,3n)**2**1**0At reactions were measured between 21. 1 and 29. 2 Mev. A target was designed to optimize the production of **2**1**1At with cyclotron beam currents of less than equivalent to 10 mu A. A novel radiochemical separation apparatus was developed to permit elution of **2**1**1At** minus into small controlled volumes, using solvents required for subsequent radiopharmaceutical chemistry. The nuclear decay properties ( alpha , x-ray and gamma emissions) were evaluated for **2**1**1At and its daughter **2**1**1Po in order to refine or to obtain the prerequisite emissions) were evaluated for **2**1**1At and its daughter **2**1**1Po in order to refine or to obtain the prerequisite nuclear data for subsequent radiopharmaceutical development and therapeutic applications of **2**1**1At.
