摘要
An integral equation for calculating time-harmonic scalar-wave scattering from objects of arbitrary shape is specialized to the case of two-dimensional electromagnetic scattering from dielectric rods of irregular cross section. Results are given for the scattering cross section and rectangular and elliptic dielectric rods as a function of size, eccentricity, and refractive index for various incident wave polarizations and angles of incidence.
