摘要
In the present investigation, the effect of sintering period and Y//2O//3 addition through mixing route on the sintered properties of 316L stainless steel powder compacts have been studied. The sintered properties of 316L-Y//2O//3 (0 to 8 vol%) composites, such as sintered density, linear and radial shrinkages and densification parameters, are optimized at 4 vol% Y//2O//3. However, hardness increases uniformly with increase in Y//2O//3 addition. Hardness values show little change with increase in sintering period for any particular composite compact.
