摘要：

The existence of improper ferroelastic phase with the temperature hysteresis of the phase transition near 5 K in layered InI single crystals in the region of the temperature range 4.2-25 K was found. The structural modulation, that indicates the possibility of incommensurate phase occurrence in temperature interval 20-22.5 K was revealed. The measurements of piezooptical constants, dilatometry parameters nearby the transition phase temperatures were held.
