摘要
A random walk model for the drift velocity in laser induced drift is presented. This expression is then utilized to generate a coupled set of differential equations for the mass flux and the radiative flux. The equations for the drift velocity represent the motion of the centroid of the molecular probability distribution and therefore are valid only when the packet width is narrow in comparison to the dimensions of the system. Therefore, the formulation is valid only in an infinite space, when large times are involved.
