摘要
The fourth-order anharmonic theory of lattice dynamics leads to a Mie-Gruneisen equation of state which is used to derive fourth-order finite strain expressions for the isothermal volume compressibility and the pressure derivatives of the isothermal and adiabatic bulk moduli. Expressions in terms of both the Lagrangian and Eulerian strain measures are given for materials of cubic symmetry. A comparative study of the results with experimental data is given for the temperature dependence of these quantities for noble metals (copper, silver, gold). This comparison shows a good agreement between theory and experiment in the range of temperatures which have been reached experimentally.
