摘要
The structure of a novel iridoid glucoside, schismoside, isolated from Schismocarpus matudai, was determined. Incorporation studies indicated a biosynthetic route through deoxyloganin, loganin and 6beta-hydroxyloganin. 8-epi-Mussaenoside was synthesized from dihydrogardenoside by cleavage with sodium periodate to dihydrorandioside and reaction of trimethylsilyl-protected dihydrorandioside with methylmagnesium iodide.
