摘要
The design and implementation of a custom processor that provides rotational correction in laser trimming is described. The processor accepts a rotation angle and an x-y coordinate pair from the laser-control computer and returns the rotated coordinates. The rotation technique used is a special adaptation of the coordinate rotation digital computer, or Cordic, algorithm. The computation speed of the processor is comparable to the control computer's I/O instruction time.
