摘要
It has been shown that the introduction of image processing systems into radiographic inspection is a very powerful technique to increase test automation and reliability. In particular, the generation of radiographic images by computer is very useful in the diagnosis phase, because the inspector's discrimination capacities are strongly improved, allowing him to observe directly the comparison between the radiograph actually taken and the synthesized one. This paper illustrates the principal aspects of the mathematical models set up for the computer simulation of the entire radiographic process. Further, the specific software modules implemented on the EDI (Enea Digital Imagery) system are illustrated, together with some application examples.
