摘要
A proposal to achieve population inversion between first and second levels of the superlattice wells due to the intrawell optical phonon emission and 1-3 level interwell tunnelling is discussed. A brief outline of proposed stimulated FIR emission by ballistic electrons in the barriers of a superlattice is presented.
