ELECTROCHEMICAL AND CHEMICAL INSERTION EXTRACTION OF LITHIUM INTO FROM POTASSIUM MOLYBDENUM BRONZE

摘要
The reversibility of an insertion/extraction reaction of lithium into/from potassium molybdenum bronze, K0.30MoO3, was investigated using both electrochemical and chemical methods. In situ X-ray diffraction, galvanostatic discharge/charge cycling and cyclic voltammetry showed that inserted lithium ions were almost extracted electrochemically from lithiated bronzes without changing original host lattice of K0.30MoO3. Chemical extraction reaction using I2/CH3CN solutions as an oxidizing reagent occurred accompanied with irreversible structural change.
