摘要：

We present x-ray scattering experiments showing that, in addition to providing a strained superlattice, H in Nb/Ta superlattices can be modeled as a lattice gas in a modulated field. In addition, we find a coherent lattice gas-liquid phase transition where critical fluctuations having wavelengths shorter than the superlattice periodicity are suppressed.
