摘要
Inverse gas chromatography was used to study the adsorption characteristics of AKD (alkylketene dimer) sized papers in the finite concentration region. The adsorption isotherms for three adsorbates, n-decane, mesitylene, and 1,4-dioxane, on various AKD sized papers were obtained from GC elution peaks at three different temperatures and analyzed. From the adsorption isotherms, the BET parameters and the specific surface areas were obtained. The differential thermodynamic parameters of adsorption were determined as a function of surface coverage. The spreading pressure at the saturated vapor pressure was calculated from the adsorption isotherms, and the surface energies of the papers were determined. © 1991.
