摘要
'Path-independent' integrals are presented for use in fracture dynamics. One class of integrals is based on a reciprocal theorem and the other is related to the energy flow into a moving crack tip. These integrals may be used to numerically calculate the dynamic stress intensity factor in elastodynamic crack propagation problems. Several examples are presented using the release node technique to model crack propagation.
