摘要
Soliton data signals at 20 and 40 Gbit/s have been successfully transmitted over 2000 and 1000 km, respectively, by using erbium-doped fibre amplifiers. Bit error rates of below 10(-10) were obtained with 2(23) - 1 pseudorandom patterns. 40 Tbit/s km is the highest value yet reported in a straight-line soliton transmission experiment.
