摘要：

Two commercially available ultrasonic devices (UD) were evaluated for their efficacy in repelling cockroaches [Blattella germanica] and preventing the attack and biting of 2 spp. of mosquitoes [Aedes aegypti and Anopheles quadrimaculatus]. The frequency outputs were also determined. The UD were ineffective in eliminating or repelling the insects and one of the devices gave off sound radiation which could be potentially harmful.
