IMPROVING THE FINANCING OF DIABETES CARE IN THE 1990S - RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE 1989 CONFERENCE

The major issues discussed at the conference and recommendations for action were reviewed in conference summaries published in 1990. This article expands on those reports and updates them. The status of the efforts of the Financing Coordinating Committee and the American Diabetes Association to implement the recommendations are also reviewed herein and areas in which there has been little progress are identified.
