4 X 4 MATRIX FORMALISM APPLIED TO INTERNAL CONICAL REFRACTION

摘要
The 4 X 4 matrix formalism is a powerful mathematical tool for dealing with a variety of problems involving the behavior of polarized light in birefringent materials. We present an example of this formalism as applied to the problem of internal conical refraction.
