CONFINEMENT EFFECTS ON THE LO-PHONONS IN CDSEXSE1-X DOPED GLASSES

摘要
Raman scattering on commercial filters containing CdSexS1-x microcrystals is reported. The composition x is determined by the difference between CdS- and CdSe-like LO phonon frequencies. A simple phonon confinement model in the microcrystals is suggested to explain the observed red-shift of the Raman frequencies and the lineshapes.
