A design is presented for a fuel supply system to provide gaseous hydrogen to an engine test cell at a maximum flow rate of 1. 42 m**3 min** minus **1. A total volume of 73. 5 m**3 of hydrogen is stored outdoors in cylinders and delivered to the engine test cell at an intermediate pressure of 138 kPa. Control of the system is incorporated into an overall laboratory safety monitoring system. Numerous redundant safety features are incorporated to accommodate hydrogen's unique properties. The system received approval from the local fire prevention authorities and has operated successfully for more than a year.
