3-FLAVOR VACUUM OSCILLATIONS OF ATMOSPHERIC AND SOLAR NEUTRINOS

Vacuum oscillations of nu(mu) into nu(tau) and either matter-enhanced or ''just-so'' vacuum oscillations of nu(e) into nu(mu) are generally invoked to explain the observed discrepancies in atmospheric and solar neutrino fluxes, respectively. In this paper, regions of the three-neutrino-flavor parameter space, compatible with the existing atmospheric and solar neutrino data (including the new results from GALLEX) within the vacuum oscillation scheme, are identified.
