摘要
Intact fruiting-bodies of Lactarius porninsis contain a mixture of new fatty acid esters 1a-1c. If the fruiting bodies are injured, these esters are converted rapidly to the two new farnesane sesquiterpenes porninsal [2] and porninsol [3]. This enzymatic conversion of sesquiterpenes may be part of a new variant of the chemical defense system that protects pungent or bitter Russulaceae species against parasites and predators.
