NEGATIVE KERR-EFFECT IN WATER BHDC BENZENE MICROEMULSIONS - ANOTHER EXPLANATION

摘要
Recently Cazabat has explained the negative Kerr effect in water/Benzyl-Hexadecyl-Dimethyl ammonium Chloride (BHDC)/benzene microemulsions in terms of a model proposed by Mayer. In this paper we present an alternative interpretation that has already been proven succesful in explaining the Kerr effect of water/AOT/alkane microemulsions. Furthermore we report on experiments that we have performed on the benzene system to demonstrate the validity of our interpretation.
