VALIDITY OF WORK FUNCTION RESULTS FROM PHOTOEMISSION TECHNIQUES

摘要
The purpose of this work is to critically examine two methodological practices which have become common. The first is application of Fowler's method in the limit of zero temperature to samples with temperatures approximately 300 K. The second involves extraction of work functions from the secondary electron cut-off of photoemission energy distribution curves.
