摘要
We update the limits on direct corrections to Z couplings using 1991 LEP data. By suitable combinations of observables we eliminate the large uncertainties appearing in oblique corrections, for example the unknown top quark mass. Applications to Z-Z' mixing effects are given in the general case as well as for specific models. In some cases one now reaches the level of 0.005 for the Z-Z' mixing angle and more than 1 TeV for the Z' mass. In addition a special combination of observables (called D) totally free of any oblique correction, appears to be the best indicator for direct vertex corrections (of any origin) to the Z couplings. Its central value appears to be positive but within one standard deviation, consistent with zero.
