摘要
Barium carbonate with glacial acetic acid and butyl titanate monomer (BTM) were used as Ba and Ti precursors to obtain sols and hard transparent gels at room temperature. After the calcination of the gels at various temperatures (25-1250-degrees-C) in air, the mixed Ba/Ti powder was characterized by DTA/DTG/TG, XRD and IR. The formation of tetragonal BaTiO3 as a major phase was seen to occur around 550-degrees-C.
