STOICHIOMETRY OF THE TITRATION BY DIHYDROGEN OF OXYGEN ADSORBED ON PLATINUM

摘要
The adsorption of dihydrogen and oxygen, as well as the titration by dihydrogen of adsorbed oxygen, was studied volumetrically on platinum powder free of contaminants as determined by Auger electron spectroscopy. The numbers of adsorbed H and O atoms per surface Pt atom are 1.1 and 0.71, respectively. A standard procedure for measurement of the percentage metal exposed for supported platinum is proposed. © 1990.
