STIMULATED-EMISSION IN ATOMIC-HYDROGEN AT 656 NM

摘要
Laser radiation at 205 nm is used to simultaneously photodissociate H2S and two-photon pump the Lyman-β (1S→3D) transition to produce output consistent with amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) at 656 nm from the Balmer-α (3D→2P) transition. The 656 nm output is increased by cooling the hydrogen atoms with helium. © 1990.
