We have prepared the (Nd0.660, Ce0.135, Sr0.205)2CuO4-δ-type (T*-phase) compounds in various A2CuO4-δ systems and discuss the average ionic radii (Rave) and the combination of "A" cation (Ln, Ln', Sr). The Rave value of the T*-phase is between 0.112 and 0.114 nm which is slightly smaller than the ionic radius of La3+ at an 8-coordinated site (0.116 nm). The characteristics of the superconductivity of the T*-phase are discussed, based on the cation combination of the T*-phase and the behavior of hole doping. The T*-phase of (Pr1-x-y,Lnx,Sry)2CuO4-δ composition could be doped to higher Sr concentration, but it shows little change in the semiconductive behavior by annealing under various oxygen annealing conditions. © 1990.
