摘要
We have developed combustion control sensor using a tin dioxide ceramic fired at 1400 degree C. The resistance of the sensor drastically changes at the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio over a wide range of operating temperatures, 300-900 degree C. The sensor also shows a quick response to the air-fuel ratio. By using the sensor with a commercial gas heater, it was shown that the sensor turned off the heater when carbon monoxide was generated under incomplete combustion, the excess air ratio is less then 1. 0. It was also found that the sensor was quite stable as result of a durability test with the sensor on the gas heater.
