摘要
The application of platinum-based metal-membrane reactors for removal of hydrogen sulfide from natural gas streams was investigated. Removal of hydrogen during thermolysis of hydrogen sulfide resulted in higher conversions than can normally be obtained. Experimental results with respect to performance, and the determination of the rate-limiting step for the thermolysis of hydrogen sulfide in the membrane reactor, are reported and discussed. A simple model is presented, and projected economics of the process are indicated.
