摘要
Using four cascaded fluoride-based fibre-amplifiers, the authors report equalisation-free, simultaneous amplification of a 16 wavelength-multiplexed signals ranging over 25 nm. 4.5dB gain excursion was obtained for a power budget larger than 77dB, with a signal-to-noise ratio excursion as low as 3.3dB over the spectral range considered.
