A numerical finite difference model for calculating the magnetic characteristics of high-temperature superconductive ceramic material, as well as of permanent magnets, is proposed; One of the potential applications of high-T-c superconducting ceramic materials is in magnetically levitated bearings; the magnetic field and the forces between the permanent magnets and the superconductors were calculated. Attention was mainly directed towards the field calculation with the superconductor in the mixed state. The computational program is a Windows application and is called SupraCalc. The results are in good agreement with existing theoretical and experimental data concerning explosively compacted high-T-c superconductors of Y-Ba-K-Cu-O compound, indicating the validity of the proposed model.
