摘要
Phenolic compounds have been shown to accumulate in Verticillum albo-atrum inoculated tomato suspension cultures carrying the Ve+ (resistant) genotype. Spectral data identified a monoglucoside and a diglucoside of caffeic acid. Phenylalanine ammonia-lyase inhibition studies indicate that the two glucosides are synthesized de novo following fungal challenge.
