DESORPTION CHEMICAL IONIZATION MASS-SPECTROMETRY OF ARSENIC COMPOUNDS PRESENT IN THE MARINE AND TERRESTRIAL ENVIRONMENT

摘要
The advantages of desorption chemical ionization mass spectrometry (DCI-MS) for characterizing arsenic compounds that exist in the environment include the presence in the spectra of recognizable molecular ions as well as structurally characteristic fragment ions. Satisfactory spectra can be obtained with 100 ng arsenic on the DCI filament, making the technique eminently suitable for the investigation of environmental samples.
