Highly conductive thin films of a charge-transfer complex, hepta-(tetrathiafulvalene) pentaiodide (TTF7I5), were prepared by double-source evaporation of TTF and iodine in vacuum. Crystalline films of TTF7I5 were obtained when substrate temperatures were kept between 0 and 25-degrees-C. Orientation of the crystallites were affected by supply rate of iodine. By controlling it, we could make the c axes of the crystallites parallel with a mica substrate, which made angles of + 30-degrees or - 30-degrees with the b axes of mica.
