摘要
Long-term stability of interferometers is a primary requirement for many applications. The usual technique is to cement all the optical components together but this can be time consuming and costly. We have developed an alternative approach which uses a mechanical supporting system and commercially available optical components. The supporting system, which is cheap and easy to make, provides a long-term interferometer stability of plus or minus 1. 5 nm and this will be described in this paper.
