摘要
In a uniformly fed in-phase curvilinear array, space phase is the only component that determines the field pattern of the array. A field pattern of the array can be found by simple proportionality techniques, employing the stationary phase principle and by-passing tedious point-by-point calculations. Field patterns and source density functions of circular-arc arrays are shown to be linearly interdependent. The derivation is based on Poisson's sum formula and the principle of stationary phase. A simple synthesis technique is discussed; two illustrations are included. © Copyright 1968 by the American Geophysical Union.
