FLUORESCENCE QUENCHING OF CARBAZOLE BY TRIETHYLAMINE - EXCIPLEX FORMATION IN POLAR AND NONPOLAR-SOLVENTS

摘要
Fluorescence quenching of carbazole with triethylamine has been studied by using steady state and time resolved fluorescence spectroscopy. The excited state Stern-Volmer quenching rates have been given as a function of ionization potential of the amines. The exciplex photophysics has been discussed in nonpolar and polar solvents.
