NUMERICAL COMPLEX ZEROS OF THE RANDOM ENERGY-MODEL

The distribution of zeros of the partition function of the random energy model (REM) is numerically estimated. In order to do this we devise a discrete version of the model (DREM) for which the partition function is a polynomial and whose roots therefore be numerically obtained. A continuous limit transforms DREM into REM, so the zeros of the latter can be obtained from those of the former.
