CORROSION INHIBITION OF A 70/30 CUPRONICKEL IN A 3-PERCENT NACL MEDIUM BY VARIOUS AZOLES

摘要
The cathodic behaviour of a 70Cu-30Ni alloy in a 3% NaCl solution was studied by potential-current curves. It was shown that the corrosion current of the studied alloy increased with the rotation speed of the electrode. The effects of the addition of triazole, aminotriazole and bitriazole were examined. These three compounds act through the formation of a protective film on the surface of the alloy. In decreasing order of inhibiting activity, we found : aminotriazole > bitriazole > triazole.
