摘要
Numerical simulation of the Navier-Stokes equation in a continuously vibrated box demonstrates the formation of convection rolls. These rolls circulate with the opposite orientation to those found in granular flows. By introducing a negative-slip boundary condition, we recover the roll orientation and roll reversal with increasing side wall angle that have been obtained in experiments on granular convection. © 1995 The American Physical Society.
