A rapid procedure for the detection of high-molecular-mass dienes in waxes, using a combination of chromatographic separations and direct inlet mass spectrometric determinations, allowed the determination of the presence of and the approximate relative concentrations on C-31-C-35 dienes in some beeswaxes.
