RAMAN-STUDY OF THE BENDING BAND OF WATER

摘要
The Raman spectra of ordinary and isotopic water in the region of the deformation mode have been studied. The isotropic and anisotropic Raman components were analysed by the method of Fourier self-deconvolution, resolution enhancement using polarization data and numerical band fitting. The choice of different profiles and their number have been discussed. The obtained resolution of the isotropic component into two profiles of comparable intensities and of the anisotropic component into two profiles whose intensities differ by 5-10 times supports the existence of the two structures in liquid water of strongly and weakly hydrogen-bonded oscillators with appreciable difference in their depolarization ratios.
