摘要
The magneto-optical Faraday rotation (theta(F)) spectra of highly bismuth substituted yttrium iron garnet (R3-xBixFe5O12, 0 less-than-or-equal x less-than-or-equal-to 2.0) films prepared by the sol-gel method were studied in the photon energy ranging from 1.5eV to 3.4eV. We showed that the enhancement of theta(F) by high bismuth substitution can be explained by adding the contributions of the paramagnetic type transitions to those of the diamagnetic type transitions in the forgoing theory based on the charge transfer transition.
