ANALYSIS OF ENERGY UP-CONVERSION IN DISORDERED SOLIDS

摘要
A microscopic energy transfer model is developed for the analysis of up-conversion for ions in doped crystals. Based on the Forster-Dexter theory, the energy transfer rate between ions in the excited state as well as the rates of migration and cross relaxation are configuration-averaged. Numerical results are compared with the exciton-exciton annihilation model and the modified Inokuti-Hirayama model.
